Quality hand gathered wands; These wands are gathered in areas that are abundant in that particular species of tree or shrub. Wands would never be harvested where the species was locally scarce. The wand is also inspected for infestation by insects or rot.
Wands gathered with respect to Trees and Deities; I would never just walk up to a tree or shrub and just tear a branch off. I will first ask the trees permission also any deity involved. I will use a clean and sharp pair of secateurs or saw to remove the branch causing as little damage as possible. In the case of larger branches removed for big wands or staffs I will treat the affected area with a recognised patch/treatment to prevent any infection to the tree or shrub. I will then thank the tree or shrub for its generosity and also a deity if applicable.
Seeds or Cuttings planted near to originator as a thank you; If while harvesting the wand I have a piece of the branch that looks ideal for replanting I will treat with rooting hormone and find a suitable place nearby where this can be replanted. If it is the wrong time of year for this I will use what the tree or shrub provides in the way of fruit or seeds and plant these in a suitable place near to the originator.
Wands harvested under specific moon phases; If asked, I offer the opportunity for wands to be harvested under a specific moon phase, I will charge a very small premium for this
Wands harvested under specific weather conditions; I will also attempt to harvest a wand in a specific weather condition, for this there will be an additional charge. Please don't ask me to harvest a wand in the snow if it is the middle of summer. I also draw the line at harvesting a wand in a lightening storm for obvious reasons.
Location of donor tree by Ordnance British Grid reference; I add these co-ordinates to your wand certificate of ownership, if you would like to know the exact location of your donor tree or shrub.
A range of wand bodies other than wood; In addition to wood I offer wands made from Aluminium (Aluminum), Brass, Bronze and Copper. I am also open to any other wand materials.
A large range of semi-precious gem stones; I have in stock a large range of semi-precious gem stones suitable both as tips and handle ends, these will help tone and concentrate the energy in a wand or help adjust the properties of the wand to the specific purpose. This is why Quartz is the most popular tip used. I am also able to purchase a far wider range of gem stone so if the stone you require can not be seen listed please ask.
A one to one design service by E-mail; I will personally answer your questions by e-mail and will inform you when your wand is complete and in the post to you.
Flexibility in the design of your wand; I will attempt to make any reasonable design for a wand but there are limitations so please ask if you have a particular idea in mind.
Years of experience; I began to make wands in the early 1980 after reading many accounts about them in early texts about witchcraft and have been crafting them regularly since 1984 and advertised my first wand online 1999.
Quality and trustworthy advice; The advice I offer on wands is based on the fact that I am a practicing witch and have been for most of my life which is well over 40 years now. I have a very good knowledge of natural history and plants, I have studied the magickal properties of these materials for more years than I care to remember. I use wands myself in rites, brews, tinctures, remedies, spells and so on.
A large range of products to adorn your wand or Staff; There are hundreds of ways to improve or change the magickal properties of a wand or just to make them look or feel more comfortable to you. From feathers to bone, brightly coloured copper wire to leather, charms, talisman, dyes and paint the possibilities are endless. There are a few of these options listed on the wand design form but if you cant find what you are looking for please ask!
Terms and Conditions
The word/phrases ' I ' or 'me' in these terms and conditions refers to the wand crafter and web site owner Kcalb.
The word 'contract' refers to the condition of work that will be undertaken once payment for the wand(s) has been received.
Customers have the right to cancel any order within 1 working day or before the wand(s) have been harvested, this is usually the next day at the earliest. Once the wand(s) have been harvested the contract has started.
Because the wands are custom made to your specific requirements no refund can be offered once the contract has been started unless the wand arrives to you damaged in the post. If the wand arrives damaged in the post this will be obvious by a crushed or damaged tube. If you have selected a premium postage rate then you must sign for the parcel as damaged. The parcel, original packaging and contents must be sent back immediately and an insurance claim will be escalated with the postage company. Any refund for the wand will be subject to the postal companies own terms and conditions, this includes their time scales for this operation. I apologies in advance if this was to happen (so far since 1999, this has never happened). Your refund will include the postage cost to return the wand.
The refund will be less 20 percent due to credit card transaction fees, postage and handling fees etc.
Refunds once contract has started (Payment received).
If you cancel the order before the wand is harvested, 10 percent will be held back for time and other fees encountered including any quotes given. If the order is canceled after harvesting and during drying then 20 percent of order amount will be deducted. If an order is cancelled after drying but before the wand is complete then 50 percent of order price will be deducted. If an order is cancelled after the wand is complete but before being posted then 75 percent will be deducted, this is due to the difficulty in re-selling the custom wand you have ordered and the time it has taken to make.
If you wish to return an item because it is damaged, then please e-mail me either by the address you have received in correspondence with me or by the 'contact Kcalb' link at the top of nearly every page.I do my best to describe and photograph the products to enable you to make an informed choice. Colours and shades may vary from those pictured, due to the differences in photographic light and computer systems.Wand sizes are rarely exact but will be very close to that asked for (within 2 to 3mm).All wand lengths quoted are measured from the tip to the furthest point of the handle, this in most cases will be a hanging loop.Size given are not exact; for example a wand tip of 15mm will include the portion fixed inside the wand the visible amount may only be 10mm.
I do my best to keep the site up to date and check that all the information is correct, but I am human and can make errors. Therefore I have the right to change details of the products, prices and postage costs, also to withdraw products or cancel a sale if I have made an error.I reserve the right to cancel an order - if I cannot obtain authorisation for your payment or the product is out of stock. My wands are mainly of slender style up to maximum of 15mm diameter, this is as a precaution to prevent harm coming to the donor tree, wands required of a greater diameter need to be specifically requested and a small premium will be paid for the extra work required to prevent harm coming to the donor tree.I have to inform you that I cannot guarantee the wands or other products have magickal powers, the empowering and correct use of any of my products for sale is your responsibillity.I do not guarantee the quality of the magick produced by the wand or any other products, or that the wand will work for you or that the desired outcome will be what you want.I do no bare any liability for the outcome of the magick, good or bad this is solely the responsibility of the person using the wand or product.I only guarantee that the quality of the work is of my highest standard. The terms and conditions of this web site are final and absolute. It is the responsibility of every purchaser to read these before making a purchase and by making a purchase agree with them.If you do not agree with these terms and conditions please do not make a purchase from me.
